Stickman Animation

Stick figures are simple. The video should not be. Advibly writes a director's proposal where every ten-second clip carries three timed beats, a camera move and a named hand-off, draws one flat line-art frame per clip, animates each clip so it lands on the next one, then narrates, scores and composes the finished cut.

Built for real campaigns

What is the Stickman Animation template?

Stick figures are simple. The video should not be. Advibly writes a director's proposal where every ten-second clip carries three timed beats, a camera move and a named hand-off, draws one flat line-art frame per clip, animates each clip so it lands on the next one, then narrates, scores and composes the finished cut.

It is a guided production workflow, not a one-click filter. Planning and review happen before expensive renders, each approval keeps the next stage grounded, and every generated asset remains available for reuse or iteration.

Best for

  • 01Explainers that need to feel fast and clear
  • 02Apps, SaaS and finance, where there is nothing to photograph
  • 03Scroll-stopping organic social, in any brand color
  • 04Scripts and posts you already have and want on screen
How it works

You approve. It renders.

  1. 1

Pick the theme and the ratio

A flat white canvas with black figures, or a flat black canvas with white ones. Then 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1. These two are asked rather than guessed, because the polarity and the ratio decide the staging, the camera paths and where an overlay can sit.

  2. 2

    Approve the director's proposal

One row per clip: its job in the arc, three timed beats, the camera, the sound effects, the narration line, and the exact visible state it hands to the next clip. Up to three accent colors, each with one meaning, with your brand color owning the product and the payoff. Editing it costs nothing.

  3. 3

    Draw the opening frames

One flat line-art frame per clip. The first renders alone as the style plate, fixing the line weight, head size and proportions, and every other frame is drawn against it. Each frame is also the landing point of the clip before it, so the set is approved as a whole.

  4. 4

    Animate clip to clip

Every clip animates from its own frame and lands on the next clip's frame, so the transitions execute in camera instead of at a cut. The prompts hold the flat linework, keep the canvas from drifting gray, and forbid any words on screen.

  5. 5

    Narrate, score and compose

One voiceover per clip, in one voice, each pinned to its clip's start. An instrumental bed follows the emotional turn, the approved overlays are burned in as crisp type, and the optional on-twos pass gives it the snappy limited-animation feel.

Questions

Good to know.

Why is there no text inside the animation?

Because generation models garble letters. Every frame and clip is rendered word-free, and any on-screen phrase is added by the final composition as crisp type you can move, retime or rewrite in the video editor afterwards.

How do the clips join up so smoothly?

Each clip names the visible state it ends on, and that state is drawn once, as the next clip's opening frame. The clip is then animated from its own frame to that one, so the hand-off happens inside the shot. Landings are close but not frame-exact, so an occasional seam wants a small trim.

Can I use my brand color?

Yes, as one of at most three accents, and it owns the product and the payoff. Colors are only ever named in plain words in the prompts, never as hex codes, because a code in a prompt tends to get rendered on screen as text.

Does my product appear?

Attach a product photo and it is redrawn as a flat line-art prop in the accent color with its logo intact, kept large in the frames that feature it. It is never composited in as a photo: that would break the one flat world the whole video lives in.

Can my AI agent run this instead?

Yes. The same pipeline ships as an agent skill for Claude, Cursor and any MCP client. The template is the no-setup version of it.
